The Plano Senior High School softball program was begun in the 1993-94 school year. Home games were played at Cheyenne Park west of the High School until the softball field located at the High School was completed for the 1996-97 school year. The field is located near the intersection of Independence Parkway and Parkhaven Drive.
The 1999-2000 Wildcats won their first ever play-off game and then lost to Nacogdoches.
